Works as intended, but it does not seem like it is going to last like the first one I bought. Not as durable as the previous model. You plug one end into the wall the other end into your device and it charges.

Good Cable

I prefer the braided nylon cables, but this one has held up well. I use it a lot for my Nintendo Switch and it keeps it charged while playing. So far I have no complaints. I order 2 of them and used for almost 3 months on many devices still working perfect compare to others i bought before.

A stiff one!

Just what I needed it looks like it will last to get than the one I had before. This is a heavy duty USB cord and kind of stiff. If you want a real flexible cord that easily drapes this is not the cord to get. I like the length and build however.

Apple's cable does not allow you to connect it to a computer. This charger works very well with Motorola G7' it is not the faster version but I bought this for keeping into my purse the cellphone never run out of battery but just in case.

0 end and extruded metal on the Type C end. The Basics USB Type C to USB A 2. Handles charging fine and seemingly handles data at the 2. Looks to be stamped metal on the USB A 2. 0 spec as well. 0 Male Cable is a good cable. in the mean time, I really needed this cord to charge my Hesh Evo headphones.

Here are a couple photos up close. This cable feels solid and it is nice and thick. . There is no SS SuperSpeed logo on the side, so it is unclear whether this is certified as USB 3.

Decent value, though the sheathing is a little stiff

The cable is well made and nicely finished. My only complaint might be that the cord will not "hang" due to the rigidity of the sheath. Something more flexible would be nice to have to help prevent snagging on "stuff" particularly if used in the car. And I am buying the same one because I like how long it is and it is pretty durable.

Would be nice if it came in more sizes but it definitely does the job. I go through these a couple times a year. I have not found that more expensive ones last longer so I come back to these. Decent but not super rugged.

Good back-up cord for USB Type-C devices

All of my other devices used a micro USB, so I suddenly found myself without any spare USB cables that would work for my phone. I recently got a new phone that uses a USB Type-C charger. This Basics cord, which has a USB Type-C on one end and USB-A on the other, works perfectly for me to charge my phone using my computer at work. It also works well with the . This is a high quality cord. Just not for me. The small end did not fit my device. Either I miss read the ad for the product, or the cable was assembled incorrectly. It should have had a USB-C on the small end.

This is working just fine as my travel cord coupled to an Anker USB charging station. It charges quickly and is holding up well to getting stuffed in a backpack and pulled out regularly. Great value as well. It is not rapid charging like the USB C to C 3 watt charger, but it is quick enough at 2+ watts.

I like the length of the cord, I use it on my phone. Obviously a cable needs to be long enough to cover the distance between the two things I am connecting, but I do not want a bunch of extra cable messing up space because it is too long.

If it does, then, the shorter the better for transfer speeds. What can I say, when you make a necklace out of a charging cord, this is the best. 0 Male Cable is a good cable. I have not tried it with data. But it might work for that too. It is well made for the cheap price as one expects the medium quality from Basics.

Oddly thick but it works well. It is a bit thin so I am unsure how long it will last and it also is not clear if it would work well for higher power applications e. g. charging something more than a phone. This is a long cable. Typical cables are only about half this long, so be sure you want the longer format before purchasing.

Less expensive and they work great. This cable gets thrown in my purse or sits in the heat of my car and it gets bumped around and stretched and my 3-year old yanks stuff off while things are charging. . It just keeps on going and has no visible signs of wear or tear especially at the neck where other cables have showed wear and the sheath comes lose to expose wires . Love 's Cables. Will return that one for a refund.

For something that is supposed to be fast charging, it is not unless you also have the fast-charging block with it but other than that charges just fine. This is my first review, I normally never write any but these are amazing! I have bought a 4 pack of these chargers in december of 2018, which means i have had them for 8 months and all 4 are still holding up strong! Normally all the iphone chargers I have start to break after 4 months but not these! highly recommend. such an amazing price too!.

Very Long Charging Cable

It had no issues rapidly charging my Le S3 phone and I did not notice any heat issues with the connectors. I plan on using this to keep my Nintendo switch charged on the road or at home if it is not in its dock. This cord is nearly 3 meters long so it has a lot of reach. Works very well with my MP3 Player for uploading files and it is recognized quickly.

Edit: I have had this for 2 months and the charger has broke. I like the price on the nine feet since most chargers will cost 13 bucks already. I have to adjust it to make it work and if you do buy this, maybe dont twist it much and be careful with it. I will edit this if anything goes wrong but for now, it is been great to use. Shipping was fast and easy.

I ordered the longer length that I already had and I like it much better as it is much easier to use . It seemingly cannot handle enough amps to charge the actual iPad when connected to any wall outlet and any brick however.

The charging cable is longer than the one that came with the phone. Granted, by the looks of it, I question the higher wattage charging capacity of this cable, but it is made to a higher standard than the crap 6" charging cable that Sony added with my headphones.

It does the job of connecting my touch screen the the Radio. And I have only use them to charge 1 or 2 amp 5 volt devices which they seem to do fine so I do not really know how good the charging power rating is.

I like my cables to be smooth and supple and not have Benz in them. I have not used it long enough to rate the durability for sturdiness but I will give them four stars out of Grace. And I have only use them to charge 1 or 2 amp 5 volt devices which they seem to do fine so I do not really know how good the charging power rating is. My higher power chargers have USB c at both ends, I got this to use with my 5 volt 2 amp chargers that are USB a to c, like the ones that I installed in my camper. Very good cord.

2020 iPad cord (USB-C) connects to any USB port

6 ft iPad cord connects to my USB surge protector. It takes overnight to charge my iPad and sometimes does not even keep up the charge when I am using the device! It is ok if you are just looking for something that will charge overnight but it is not a fast charger.

It works fine for charging. I will use a shorter USB-C to USB-A 3. 0 for transferring data due to the speed of USB 3. 0. I just purchased an iPad Pro 11 and needed a six foot inexpensive cable to charge it from my existing multi-output USB-A charger since the cable that comes with this iPad is a USB-C to USB-C. The cable is very stiff but for my use this is fine. Pixel 1 & 2 works great and charges pretty fast.

That has not been the case with the Basics cables I have been using and I doubt my experience with this one will be any different. I also chose the longer length so I had have the option of leaving this one at home and the shorter one for on-the-go. I had a problem with an off-brand cable that was connected and disconnected once or twice a day - the connector started failing after about nine months. I am using a number of Basics cables and they have all been very good.

Furthermore, it is an Basic product so the price was excellent and the delivery, lightning fast. . This sturdy 9' cable perfectly spans the distance between the USB outlet on my power strip and where I want to place my phone while I am working out. Obviously a cable needs to be long enough to cover the distance between the two things I am connecting, but I do not want a bunch of extra cable messing up space because it is too long.

Not bad for the price. Good enough. Great re-used cable, works great for the function I purchased it for. Slower than the factory cable. Tested and working on Pixel 2 XL the quality is not that great and it charges a little bit.

Great cable to charge USB-C enable devices using older USB A ports

I got this cable because both my laptop and desktop at work only have USB A female ports and when I needed to quickly charge one of my gadgets with a USB-C port I did not have a way to do so. This cable is of very good quality, affordable and it long enough for me to place the charging device out of the way while I work. And regardless of being long, it is lightweight, so one can carry it inside a backpack. Do not really know what to say expect that it charges my laptop without any problems.

Needed a cable that worked with Tesla Model 3 USB ports

This one was not expensive, and works fine in the car. Delivers plenty of power to the phone and fits into the USB-A port of the car snugly. I was specifically looking for a USB-C cable that was longer than normal, and worked with Tesla Model 3 ports. If you need a cable to charge USB-C things in a Tesla Model 3, this one works !. The wire on these is thinner than my other USB c charging cables, and it seems to want to hold the kinks from its packaging.

Factor a great price into the quality and I can not see any reason to go elsewhere. There is not much to say about cables. Either they work or they do not, and either they are well made or they are not. A great product at a fair price. Construction on each end is high quality, and I have no worries about connections breaking loose due to flex. And on the topic of flex, I these are dandy, and do not kink or knot. Need it? Buy it. In this case, it works AND is well made.

Just there are times when my phone does not allow it to charge, but after a few minutes it kicks in and does the normal fast charging. You can buy a similar cord at the Apple store for $20, but you also need the wall piece, which is another $70. It works really well.

All my cords and chargers have lasted in the years range. So far all the products I have used have been top notch. Reliable, charging devices is usually quick and solid. I would buy this again over an Apple one just because I can replace it several times for the cost. I have found products to be long lasting and do not break or fail as quickly as things i pick up in discount or office supply stores which seem to have a service life of only months. I actually made a mistake because I thought my new computer would have the new usb port and it did not so I had to go find a device that used this USB typ C port.

But - it works. So, in the gets the job done world, especially if your need of a Type C to USB A 2. So, no - this is not the nicest cable line out there, it seems to barely meet the minimum shielding in the cable wrap, it does not roll up as nice as more flexible cables, and it is just a bit too short for convenience. 0 cable is more behind the machines than in a display or quick to be ready public setting, you get what you need at a great price. At the time of this review there was no indication of price, but I think as long as it is no more than $15 I had be willing to buy another.

High quality cables

As with all the Basics products I have used, this is high quality. It works great and the materials and workmanship are topnotch. The contacts are all gold plated for corrosion resistance. I like to have lots of cables on hand for every application so this is a welcome addition. I really enjoyed it so far it works good I use it on my Samsung Earbud it fits just right.

Overall, I like the cable but I had like it a little more if it acted a little more flexible. This is a good solid cable that charges my Nexus 6P reasonably quickly in one of my older USB chargers. Charging power & cord length satisfaction. The only thing about the cable is that it is a bit stiff, when you bend it if feel like the cable will almost hold that shape instead of just collapsing like a normal cable. The type C connector works well in either direction and there is no overheating problems with it.

Fits in my g9 phone without falling out or needing undue pressure to push it in. NOTE: go with the brand but. The cable is reasonably tough and durable. . do yourself the favor of buying one that reaches from outlet to your ear, plus a little slack, as you lie in bed. You will always have a charged phone all day. Now I can keep the phone on the edge of the dresser and charge all night and if someone calls I do not even need to disconnect. . Perfome as the expensive one but with low price awesome.

I was a little skeptical of the Basics products as I thought that they would just be rebranded cheap knock off products given that it cost the same amount. I have been using my cable for almost a year now and it shows no sign of wear and tear or fraying or anything at all. It feels stiff and so it feels nice and durable in the hand. Mostly charges, but fails formeon data

I also tried plugging it into my iMac to see whether I could mirror the screen as I can when using my old iPad with a Lighting connector. I am using this to connect/charge an iPad Pro with a Magic Keyboard. It did not work. When connected to the Magic Keyboard it will charge when plugged into my iMac or into the 2. 1 amp port of my external battery or the 2. I assume the problems with charging are the capability of the charging block or the charging port, not the capability of the cable. I find that when the cable is connected directly to the iPad Pro it always charges successfully. This is a heavy duty USB cord and kind of stiff. This is good enough for me.

The cable itself is very thin and can not get pinched or else that is it. The cable ends get broken off the wire after a few weeks of use. Everything about this cable is great except it is ability to withstand life. It just has a 3-6 month lifespan before being replaced. Liked them , right chargers.

Cord feels less solid than other basics cords I have used in the past. Great to replace the Samsung power charger I got originally with my Galaxy S9, actually charged my phone in 2 hrs instead of 9 hrs like my last one, but even after buying 10 days ago, I seem to already have gotten a short in it already, despite taking care to not bundle this cord like the previous one but roll up everytime.

Not a huge deal, but I did accidentally disconnect the cable from the AC adapter during the night leaving me with a less than 100% charge in the morning. I went through two other sets of cables advertised as supporting the Galaxy S8 line before finding a 6ft cable that actually fast-charged my phone. Tried it, it does. It seems just a touch too small.

Not worth it for the price

I suggest going with a different seller. Really the only benefit of this cord is its length. Works for what it was bought for. Mine shorted out a few weeks after receiving it through my purchase.

This seems to do fine. Not bad for the price. Seems pretty reliable so far. Mostly used for charging my disposable vapes. It is a perfect match for my pixel XL.

Good and simple cable Have been using for 1 year and has held up

It is decently fast, with expected speeds of USB 2. 0 limiting the speed. The cord itself is able to wound in a circle and has been durable for my light use over 1 year. Cheap and it works . 6 ft iPad cord connects to my USB surge protector.

very stiff cable kind of annoying if trying to use ur phone while plugged in very good fit dosent fall out like cheeper cables. I purchased it for charging my Android phone,the price is cheap than most competitor, it is durable, have used for more than one year, but seems does not have same fast speed than my original one, but overall is nice product.

It was great for months but after a couple of months the cable bends and the cables gets exposed. It still works but its something you should be aware of if you are thinking of buying this. I needed to use this so I could use my phone in bed. Great quality for price.

Good budget cable

Said it is the perfect length, loves the look of it, and works well when charging his phone. Love the longer length. I decided to get him this 9' cable so if he moves around theres less chance he's going to unplug his phone from the charger, and it gives him extra length to reach the outlet for his charger. So far he's loved the cable. I bought this for my uncle as he's always complaining about how short the charging cables are that he gets.

The connection did end up getting bent a little, but still works. It is a charger wire. Not a lot to say. The electrons flow nicely between the two ends.

These work as advertised.

Always been the best investment a charger. I would not use these for data transfer but they are great charging cables. The new type C USB is a hassle, since it means that all of our old USB chargers will be phased out. Rather than adding our chargers to our overflowing drawer of outmoded chargers and dongles these cables will give them new life.

It charges my Pixel 2 XL fast but for some reason it does not go to 100%, it stays at 99%. I order 2 of them and used for almost 3 months on many devices still working perfect compare to others i bought before.

Good Cable for Decent Price

Have had no charging issues with a Samsung Galaxy S8. Basic USB C cable with decent port holding. Since these are not OEM Samsung cords, they do not work as quickly to charge, but it gets the job done. Basic plastic design, however it fits fine in a cube farm.

It is also slower has less throughput so I went back to the original cable and moved the drive closer to the computer. Great cord, bought 2 and they work great.

Other than that no interruptions to the charge or any product errors. I would buy it again. Works great with the apple products. The only thing is that it takes a couple of seconds after plugging in for the iPad to charge. Bought this for an iPad Pro.

However, it is 6 feet long and it does seem to work, so long as it is in a quick-charging port. The USB C cable arrived quickly. Not sure what that means when it comes to a review for the cord itself, but it seems to work. So, I am not completely sure if this does or does not charge quickly. No problems so far, seem worth the money. I used the USB port that came with the phone and it seemed to charge faster.

Also a Pro to add to this list is that it includes the 56k resister and it is approved to meet the safety standards. So glad that I picked up one of these cables and will have to pick up a few more to keep in the car. It has been charging my phone better than the stock cable that came with my phone and is much longer. Husband and I fight to use this cord since it is more durable than manufacturers cords and longer as well. I would recommend this to anyone who would like to safely charge their phone.

The build quality gave a great impression, no noticeable defects. Does exactly what it is for but why is the 6 foot cheaper than the 3 foot cable. How? You gotta star knocked off for that. Other than that it is a decent cable. I normally get my stuff from Monoprice but I needed a cable faster.

Much higher quality than the one I received on Christmas—which was probably the same price if not a couple bucks more. . . It is worked fine on other blocks or directly to my PC. After a while you can see you can really treat it as rough as how you would treat a original Samsung USB and the charging power is not really up there. but when I tried to use it in my friend's charging block AC adapter my phone thought it kept getting plugged/unplugged.

Great when you need the extra length for charging

This cord at 9 feet long is great for when you need your phone, but also need it to be charging. The shorter cords would have me stuck close to an outlet and not Malagasy where I wanted to be. It works just as well as the Sony cord I received for my Xperia X Compact and the Belkin one I use in my car. Decent cable for price.

Needed a Shorter Cord

I have a charging station set up to charge up to 5 different devices and it only requires a short cord. A while back I bought a Bushnell Phantom 2 Golf Rangefinder. This is high quality and very durable cable. It is a great rangefinder but it came with a 6 foot USB C charging cord.

It is packaged in a small cardboard box - which gives it a higher quality look than others that are just shipped in bags. It doesnt charge as fast as the original cable but it still working good enough for me.

But it is great for using on my nightstand where the plug is far from the nightstand. I use this cable with my Pixel phone and an aftermarket power brick and it works well to charge my phone. i use this cord as a spare for my hptuners setup works great. No issues at all.

I am using this as a cable for a controller so I can not say how the charging is, but it is pretty stiff and a bit weird to use for my controller. This cord fit my Pixel 2 XL well and functions as a power cord should. I have not used it long enough to detrmine it is durability.

Very useful for the purpose intended. I grabbed this mostly as a phone charger, and was pretty impressed. The build quality is at least as good as you would expect from a midrange to premium cable. Both ends make quick, tight contact but not overly tight , and I did not have any trouble at all with my phone going in to quick-charge mode. Though, this did not work for quick charging on my OnePlus 3, which uses a proprietary cable for that. I did not bother to do a full blown benchmark, because it did not stand out as being exceptionally faster or slower than the cables that came with my devices. Overall, it is a pretty solid cable.

Handy converter

The 6' length would reach but I like my cords to run behind everything and not on the desktop work space. So this 9' is just right since my printer resides on another cabinet. The cable to port sleeve is adequate if it just sits there. With USB C becoming the new standard, I need to connect some USB 2 peripherals- like my printer. But if you are unplugging a lot or have to make a tight bend to reach the item, the sleeve is flimsy. Not a lot to say.

Comes in a tiny box, very well packed. It charges slowly. But the material is sturdy and 6 feet is accurate. The first time I plugged it in, it took like 5 seconds for the phone to start charging, I am unaware as to why, but still!I am buying this only as a spare cable, so it serves the purpose for that!. Works great, decent value.

Good Cable But No 56k Resistor

It is a great rangefinder but it came with a 6 foot USB C charging cord. I gave it four stars because it does not have the 56k resistor built into it. Other than that it is a good quality cable. I use it to charge my phone in my vehicle and it works as expected.

Great price. I have had lots of Basics cables and found them universally reliable and well made, as well as modestly priced. Very similar, but far less expensive, to Apple-branded or other higher-end cables. Sturdy and affordable, so there is really no reason NOT to go for the Basics branded cables if you find them available.

Cord length is perfect to plug inside the center console and shut it while still having full access to the phone in your lap. Got this for the car to charge on long trips or in case of an emergency charge. These are very nice cables for the price.

The cord is way thicker and heavier than a regular USB C cord. This might be designed to power laptops. Excellent charging too. It seems just a touch too small.

Not quite what I needed it for

If my charger ever breaks for my Nintendo switch, this would definitely be my backup. I love how long it is compared to the traditional cords. However, I have found another use for it. It was great for months but after a couple of months the cable bends and the cables gets exposed. I needed this cord originally to play my game on my MacBook.

Basics Basic Cable

Most of the basics items that I have purchased have been stellar. It does exactly what I was hoping it would do, and that is to charge my pixel XL. It is almost like purchasing a generic version of something that is quite good, and getting a similar result from the product. This one is just a little disappointing. Not much, just a little. It does not plug in and remove quite as easily as the included charging cable. Once it is plugged in, it is a little difficult to remove. It just wants to stay plugged in. No problem with the USB side, just the type C side. It also does not charge quickly. the phone tells me that it is charging slowly, and I can tell that it takes longer as well. It looks as if none of the points will wear out anytime soon. Judging from the looks and feel, I expect it to last a while. . No problems.

Works great for charging my headphones

Granted, by the looks of it, I question the higher wattage charging capacity of this cable, but it is made to a higher standard than the crap 6" charging cable that Sony added with my headphones. First, I want to say that the only thing that I charge with this cable is my Sony wireless headset; so take this review with a grain of salt. This cable was a lifesaver because it allowed me to connect my iPad Pro to my computer and transfer movies. This is probably my 4th or 5th Basics cable in my 'collection' and so far, this is living up for what I need it for as well as the others.

The cord works fine, but the usb end fits a little loosely so it comes out of the port easily. I have been using this cable for months now, it has not shown its ware and tare yet and still gives me a really good,fast charge. Very durable!.

It fits well into my phone and seems to be made well. The cord is flexible, but not anything special. I have not experienced any issues with charging or data transfer with this cord, although I do not think the speed is what it should be. I have been using it for about a month without any problems. I got this because the 9 foot length seemed much more convenient than the cord that came with my phone. There is not a whole lot to say about a cable. great cable.

Not the most durable cable but for the price it is not bad Used to game on pc so bends and moves more than if it was used for charging ect. It is a good cable in the sense that it does what it is supposed to do and I do not find any of its features bothersome enough to be worth complaining about. The black plastic piece behind the USB-C side of the connector is a bit longer than some other cables I have, though, so I guess if you are trying to use it in an extremely tight space that might be a minor problem. Overall I like the cable, and I am going to use it in a spot where I need to just plug something in and leave it alone, so the plain black that is not too attention grabbing will be beneficial.

I Went Everywhere looking for a charger for my HTC 10 could not find one anywhere not even all anyone has is Samsung or Apple so many different devices use the same Samsung style charger I have like 10 of em so I take Samsung cord off and put This Cord and wala it is charging . Thanks . . FINALLY. These basics are a high quality add on or replacement that you can have confidence. This cord is perfect bc I can use the one cord at home and or in veichele.

I mistakenly gave this product a 1-star review because my other charging spot is using an ancient and slow power connector. Good value, charges my Pixel XL and my wife's Moto Z Force with ease and fast too. Will be buying more. I bought this charger because 3 of my chargers literally gave out at the same time. . . I took it with me to a Christmas party with family members. . . . . Happened several times. . Good price- quick ship- perfect. . There is no damage whatsoever done to the cord. 4 kids ran into my cord knocking the phone and the charger out of the wall and disconnecting it from the phone..

It had no issues rapidly charging my Le S3 phone and I did not notice any heat issues with the connectors. I purchased this cable about a month ago for being able to connect my phone to a computer and to charge from any USB to outlet brick. This product works well and holds up to normal wear and tear like bending the ends due to shoving it in one's pockets.

Basics cables are really good - even better than OEM

Who would have thought a simple cable would require some great engineering work. For my iPhone over the years, I used to buy cheap cables for $1-$2 and almost always they would break within a month or two, similarly for my android tablet - the cheaper cables would never work. Next for my iPHone I started using the basics cable and they are really awesome - I mean so good that they surpassed the life of the OEM cable, no kinks, no loose plastic coming off. This one is no different - the cable is thick, well engineering and currently using it with my Le Eco S3 phone - great connectivity and a really long table. Nice cable, good quality.

Did work great and had a quick charge for months before it melted. Update: After having to Google how to reach Customer Service eye roll , they responded quickly and replaced my charger very quickly at no cost. Still concerned that the first one melted, but aside from that, it is a very fast and reliable product. states that it may be replaceable for up to one year, but offers no way for that to happen after the 30-day refund period has ended. It works fine.

Used for changing my phone, works great. Bought this for charging using one of the gazillion AC to USB bricks I have lying around. Not as fast as true USB-C charging, but does well enough as a secondary option. Never tried it for data transfers.

Needed this to charge up a USB-C device that did not come with charge cord. Worked well, good length, good build quality, decent price. Great to replace the Samsung power charger I got originally with my Galaxy S9, actually charged my phone in 2 hrs instead of 9 hrs like my last one, but even after buying 10 days ago, I seem to already have gotten a short in it already, despite taking care to not bundle this cord like the previous one but roll up everytime.

This is my first review, I normally never write any but these are amazing! I have bought a 4 pack of these chargers in december of 2018, which means i have had them for 8 months and all 4 are still holding up strong! Normally all the iphone chargers I have start to break after 4 months but not these! highly recommend. I bought this to use in the hospital when I have birth. The cord length was amazing to have. It will connect and disconnect every few seconds. If you are buying for a specific time and place, as an extra it is worth it. If you intend for this to be your main charger, it probably will not last too long.

Thick, high quality, and very durable. Even though I am using a regular charger, my phone charges much faster with this cable compared to other brands. This cable is just shy of the size of my HTC Quick Charge cable. The cable does not seem to support the fast charge feature for my Galaxy but outside of that, it is perfect.

It can bend, but can not loop or drape without straightening it out each time, since turning it even half way around makes it stick out a little awkwardly. Thinking about buying this charger again bc it is going strong and charges my chone fast! Also the main room u use it in, the nearest wall outlet it all 5ft away so this comes in clutch!. The insulation is extraordinarily heavy duty -- too much so for my purposes.

You can buy a similar cord at the Apple store for $20, but you also need the wall piece, which is another $70. So basically I wasted my money on this because it will not charge my computer because it does not have enough power.

Both devices worked normally, the cable is of average fair build quality. Tested the same cable with a standalone keyboard and with a standalone number pad at different times. I have not used this for any data transfers, yet - just using it to charge an ornery phone that is persnickety about it is charging cords.

If one has devices with type "C" ports, the Basics cable looks to be a good and economically attractive alternative. Whataya know, it is a cable, pretty similar in utility to all the other cables in my cable drawer and naturally, when I have a real use for it, it will have mysteriously de-materialized and I will be on here to buy another one. I had ordered this 1 year ago and it finally gave out and stopped charging. The flex points at the connector ends do not seem overly delicate so it is also likely they would remain secure with rougher handling.

I was afraid a 6-foot cable might end up being too long, but instead, I found it was the perfect length. I now have one in each location, and I may buy another one for my purse so I can keep my emergency battery in my bag or a pocket while I use my phone as I shop or run errands. Seamlessly transfers. I ordered the 9ft cords because I like the length for traveling. I stay in a lot of hotel rooms, which never have outlets where you need them. Since these are not OEM Samsung cords, they do not work as quickly to charge, but it gets the job done.

I like that it is 9 feet -- that means that I have plenty of space to plug it in behind my desk and it can still reach my phone with room to spare. It is a cable; it works, so there is not much to say about it. Works very well for my one and one only USB-C device. I needed a longer one. These basic cords for my new iPad works great. Does exactly what it is for but why is the 6 foot cheaper than the 3 foot cable. The iPad came with this very short cord which was not very user friendly.

So far, so good. This is a great cable that is affordable, works, and has great construction. The cable ends have a great feel to them and they seem like they will last a long time. The fit and finish is good and the construction seems tight. It snapped in well with Lumia and my 5X. These basics are a high quality add on or replacement that you can have confidence. They work!.

Well made, but I got this for the wrong device! I hoped it would fit my Kindle, but it does not. However, I am holding onto it. You never know just what devices may turn up and I can use it then! Made by basics, it is got to be good!Simply because I know it is the best, I give it 5 stars and a big thumbs up!. I normally get my stuff from Monoprice but I needed a cable faster.

Anyway, have only tested it once and it charged my Pixel phone fairly fast. I will update after it is been used in real world situation. I needed a shorter cord for my portable charging block I live in Florida where power outage after a storm is a real thing. The cable was as described and worked just fune for what I needed it for which is charging a bluetooth mouse and keyboard.

Really the only benefit of this cord is its length. WARNING: Check your power brick, the cable does not charge fast in an older one with low voltage. but neither does any other cable. I mistakenly gave this product a 1-star review because my other charging spot is using an ancient and slow power connector. This USB C cable charges fairly fast, maybe not as fast as the one that will come with your newest smartphone but it does support fast charging. I have had it for more than a year, but have not used it often due to its location in a secondary spot and my mistaken belief that it was slow. But this is a good cable. If it comes to Anker or other far more reputable cable companies over Basic at the same price point, I had go with those other companies, but if you are seeing this for like $5 this is a great cable to get..

It has all the features I look for: strong plug ends, reinforcement where the cables attach to the housing, and a strong-but-pliable cable - for less than a coffee drink. This cable is about the same price as a crappy one that I could pick up at the drug store, but it is a much better quality. Half of them failed before the phone became obsolete. I did the same thing with the next phone, and the one after that. Over the years I have spent hundreds of dollars on cables that either broke, fell apart, or became obsolete. Good I was always looking for an extension problem solve. When I got my first iphone I bought a handful of high-end cables for it. Now I buy cheap, well-made cables like these.

Ive had it for about a month. The six foot length makes it great for using it comfortably while charging my phone. However I noticed it refused to charge my phone one time. I got this cable because both my laptop and desktop at work only have USB A female ports and when I needed to quickly charge one of my gadgets with a USB-C port I did not have a way to do so.

It Work Great and Affordable Price. Good:- Secure but not overly tight fit on both A and C ends. - Both ends seem rugged based on informal bending/pulling tests and a look-over - Cable works on my Nexus 6P Meh:- Cable itself is a bit stiff, does not feel especially smooth or 'premium', but then, this is not sold as a premium high-priced cable, so this is not unexpected.

Now with the Note 8 coming out,. For switch lite, playing when charging decreases the battery. I guess it is good for preventing gaming addiction haha. Also the cord length is short; only 4 times my foot. I guess these cons are for cutting the price*Edit: I just learned charging time is by the type of plug instead of the cord haha.

another solid (long) Basics cable

This is a super long cable. One end is the standard USB 2. I do not see any USB 3. 0 markings and no blue on the connector. The cable jacket is a grey color, and the connector bodies are Apple-ish white, with the USB type-C housing having a significant taper from tip to tail as pictured. Fast charging and durable great price will be purchasing more.

One important thing to note is that the metal, USB C connector shows no seam on either side. This 6 ft. It is one, seamless piece of metal. That is a sign of a higher quality cable and something to look for when trying to make sure you do not get a cable that is inferior and could potentially fry your devices. The cable itself is fairly thick and the non-tangling variety. The USB A connector does have a visible seam but I have never seen one that does not. Another thing to look for is that the cable is USB-IF certified. 0 Male Cable from Basics appears to be a well made, sturdy cable that functions well. Since that this writing, there is no product page available yet and there is nothing on the box to indicated that this cable is USB-IF certified, I went to usb dot org to check their list of USB-IF certified cables and this cable is on the list. I hope that makes that clear when they put up a product page and that they will begin to list this certification on the product box. There is a thick collar at the point where it connects to the plastic case that hold the USB connectors. It works great with my son's Nexus 6P phone for charging. If you need a long, USB C to USB A cable, this is a safe, quality cable. , USB Type C to USB A 2. This was for charging my cell phone while watching tv.

We had a minor political dispute and sure enough, this was just long enough to hog tie a 13 year old. Absolutly wonderful. If you have a new iPad that uses usb c, you can buy with confidence. Can not really say to the charging capabilities but this was the perfect length and sturdiness for tying up my cousin.

Deducting a star for six-month longevity. Since I have few outlets in my home, the 9' is very handy in extending the reach. Must have been damaged after being transported in my backpack--but I do not' see how, as the pins are practically encased in the connector. Handles charging fine and seemingly handles data at the 2.

This charging cable was a good replacement for the original cable I had that broke. This cable is long as you can see it stretched out in one of my pictures and that makes it easy to use pretty much anywhere in a room. The cord seems thick enough that it will not break easily. When plugging it in, ut does not have the exact same click as the original charger for the phone, but that is not a problem and the cord works great for charging!. It snapped in well with Lumia and my 5X.

As far as a regular USB charging cord for my phone it worked well. The issue was I really bought it to connect my 2019 Dodge to my Motox4 phone to operate Android Auto. The cord did not work for this purpose. The phone connected and charged but would "disconnect" in five minutes or so and not reconnect on its own. I had to unplug the cord, plug it in and unlock the phone to get Android Auto to start again. I bought an Anker model A8168 and it works perfectly. It is a durable product, works well with data transfer, and also charging.

In the other, ear bud accessories spilled out and rolled off my desk. I am writing this review because the seller offered a $10 credit. This is almost a 5 star product. The baggies should be resealable so you can open an close the bag and not destroy it upon opening. It came in a little block back and the product name was nicely labeled. Very good first impressions. The headphones were easy to pair to my phone. Next was two little sealed baggies. At the bottom was the instruction manual. I would suggest that they proofread the copy, on both the instruction booklet and the review card. The headphones were in one. It was delivered very quickly and upon opening the shipping package, I was very impressed with the product packaging. This was for charging my cell phone while watching tv. I tore open the two baggies. Upon opening the lilttle black box, I saw a card offering the afore mentioned credit in exchange for a review.

I have been using this cable for months now, it has not shown its ware and tare yet and still gives me a really good,fast charge. Very useful for the purpose intended. The only thing that I thought it could have been better, is the length, as I think it is too short. Other than that, works great.

Long cable but slow charge

plastic is stiff, need 10 foot which was not an option. I ordered this cable because I wanted something longer to charge my devices at my nightstand. While this is longer than the cable that I have, the charging power is probably half of my Apple cord. It takes overnight to charge my iPad and sometimes does not even keep up the charge when I am using the device! It is ok if you are just looking for something that will charge overnight but it is not a fast charger.

Well at least it worked as a data cable in a Subaru

A functional data cable so I can use phone apps while driving like Android -Auto in my Subaru. One important thing to note is that the metal, USB C connector shows no seam on either side.

0 speeds. If you need cheap USB C cables for charging, look no further. No issues with charging and transfer speeds are what you would expect from USB 2. No issues at all.

An excellent second cable for your USB Type-C devices

2. This is an excellent, 6-foot, USB Type-C to USB-A 2. If your wall plug has too low a current, you device will charge but not as quickly. The cable functions as expected. Transfer appears to be quite quick as well, although I had no specific way to measure it. Charging is as quick as with the native cable. Realize, however, you will need a USB wall plug that is able to put out the enough current e. The cord does not become warm during use normal use, it has not harmed any of my equipment, and has not started a fire. 0 Male cable. Recommended. g. It works. The USB Type-C end snaps into place and functions like the native cord for my cell phone.

The connectors feel solid, the cord seems flimsy especially after rolling up for storage multiple times and could be a future weak point, although cord is still going strong a few months later! So far happy with the value from basics items. These are definitely a good buy. Does not charge as fast as USB 3. 0, charges slower than using factory cord/charger pixel 2xl the length was the more important in this case. Needed a longer cord, works well.

This cable was a lifesaver because it allowed me to connect my iPad Pro to my computer and transfer movies. Seems to be of good quality. Using for vehicle for backseat charging purposes.

so far cable has held up and worked with no issues. It is, as named and labelled, a basic USB Type C to USB A cable. It works to charge up cell phones such as an iPhone 7, or, previously such as my beloved fire-starter, ooops, I mean trusty Note 7 that was recalled due to battery issues , or to connect other devices that would need a USB C connection back to a more traditional USB A port. If ordered directly from the A-Z store, you can rest assured that unlike cables that are supposed to be from a big fruit named company as an example this cable would not be a counterfeit. Sadly, many of the cables that come from other brands are cloned/copied and counterfeited and sold here and being certain that you are getting a cable that is guaranteed to work and not damage your device is a major concern.

I usually get Anker cords for higher duty use, but for situations like leaving a charging cord plugged in by the side of the bed you can not beat the branded ones for price and reliability. This is a really nice little cable and perfect for everyday use.

Thank you . you answered a problem to the 3' Cord supplied with the Apple IPad Pro. This is great, I hardly ever disconnect it when setting in my chair - great! I strongly recommend it!. Works as a charging cable as well as a data transfer cable with both Mac and windows.

Not Enough Power To Charge iPad Pro

I bought this to fly my DJI Mavic with and it works perfectly for that case. It seemingly cannot handle enough amps to charge the actual iPad when connected to any wall outlet and any brick however. Good and strong ports.

Great charging cable for other stuff and transferring data to your laptop like pictures, e. t. I tried it on my 2017 Honda Accord and got nothing only charging capabilities . This charger charges my phone pretty fast yo, and It still works even after I had it for a while and did not treat it too well.

Decent receiver for the price

Very stable, almost no drifting receiver is sensitive enough, love that I can go down to the AM broadcast band. Well worth the money, greatly improved over SDR dongles from 3-5 years ago. Pros: Works as expectedCons: Very simple packaging.

Other than the fact that my dog keeps eating all of the chargers in the house, this cable was well made. I never get to use them long, but when I did I liked it. I have been using my cable for almost a year now and it shows no sign of wear and tear or fraying or anything at all.

Well-made, good charging and data rates

The Basics USB-C cable seems well-made, has the usual rubber-reinforcement near the plugs, and appears to be nicely finished. The plugs both fit snugly into the ports, and the charging rate or data transfer rate does not seem to be affected by the above-average length of the cord. This length is convenient in situations such as feeding power from a source located in the front of our car to passengers seated in the back seats. Just what I needed it looks like it will last to get than the one I had before.

Yes finally what a process to find but I knew would have it. I am always a fan of Basics cables, and this is no exception. This is an very sturdy cable, pleasantly thick. And the joints to the jacks are very very sturdy. This is a cable that should last a long time.

Basic Type-C USB Cable Provides Decent Value & Functionality

I particularly like the longer length of this cable as sometimes a 3-ft cable just will not cut it comfortably. Quality cable. No surprise that it works for power for new USB C phones, but it is also perfect for data exchange. As this is my first C-type USB cord I will admit that perhaps all C-types work flawlessly with data. However I have amount my cable selection some USB 2 cables that my older Samsung phone would balk at data even as they would work fine as a charging cable. Anyway this cable is basic but it certainly does what one needs such a cable to do. Because it is an Basic it is priced to undercut the similar cords you will find at The Shack or Big Box stores.

Varied lengths is great to use in different locations. Exactly what I needed for my new phone when all my other cords were old. For something that is supposed to be fast charging, it is not unless you also have the fast-charging block with it but other than that charges just fine.

This charging cable was a good replacement for the original cable I had that broke. Nine ft works great fits my Awow tablet. I never received this with tablet like Awow company said I should have but did not . was great at finding this & sending to me is great shipping was fast.

I had a problem with an off-brand cable that was connected and disconnected once or twice a day - the connector started failing after about nine months. The cable was as described and worked just fune for what I needed it for which is charging a bluetooth mouse and keyboard.

Do recommend. This is a good cable for iPad Pro 3 - strong, reliable, good length and plugs in. It is also slower has less throughput so I went back to the original cable and moved the drive closer to the computer.

I meant to order a "iPhone charger" but ordered these by mistake. The return was easy and turned around and ordered what I should have in the first place. lol. We needed a wire for our car and this works amazingly.

And I am buying the same one because I like how long it is and it is pretty durable. It lasted a long time!. I have had this product for a good year and a half and just over this last month has it burnt out a bit and I have been using it like that and it is been fine but it got caught on my rug and I think it is dying out. The iPad came with this very short cord which was not very user friendly.

0 Male Cable from Basics appears to be a well made, sturdy cable that functions well. This works just fine with my MacBook. I did not check the input of the item I was planning on using it with my sewing machine and was disappointed when I went to plug it in that it required a different plug B . But, it works just fine for my external hard drive. This looks like it will hold up fairly well. I would buy this again over an Apple one just because I can replace it several times for the cost.

So far, I have had only positive experience with many of the Basics products. This USB Type C cable is not an exception either; it is well constructed and exhibits zero flaws. Sturdy, well insulted, perhaps a little bit stiffer than usual, but overall what you expect out of a good cable. Would be better if it was longer.

Love these cables because of the usage I get out of them. I buy my phones from TracFone, and there is usually a charging cord included. However, this newest cord with the phone does not stay securely plugged in and tends to pop off when I move the device. I ordered this one, hoping for better results. This cord stays plugged into my phone better than the other one, is a good length, works great.
