I have been using the cable for a couple of weeks now and have had no issues. As all other Basics products, great construction, price and reliability.

That means charging cables can be a lot more expensive.   This product is insulated like an older, 'normal' USB cable, and data rates are much slower than with the nicer quality cables, but if you are only occasionally transferring files, or they are not huge files, and you really just need the cable for charging  which is obviously 99% of the use of these things , this is a great choice. Charge speeds were very similar  and extremely fast  if you use this with the appropriate power source. This is my second Basics USB Cable, and this one is great for charging.   The cable's not getting hot and I do not think there is any reliability concerns.   I have had many Basics cables of varying types and I consider it to be a superior brand without being expensive. USB C is a powerful standard, but for high speed data transmission, you need a very well insulated cable. Does as advertised.

I needed long USB cables and these are working out great.  The benefit is that I consistently save money without settling for anything “cheap.

If you are especially rough with cables, yanking them impatiently for example, you might opt to pay more for OEMs which might be a little more forgiving. Basics, for anyone not acquainted, are products like cases, microfiber cleaning cloths and cables, produced with quality construction and materials, with minimal package glitz and waste but at a consumer friendly price.  But so far for me, extremely happy with all the Basics products I have gotten the past few years and appreciate the minimal packaging waste they generate as well.  I personally love this new standard since there is no flipping and frustration trying to figure out which alignment is correct, and even possible damage while trying to force the plug in the wrong way while in a mental fog.  This Basics cord seems to work as well as the original Sony and Google cords my devices shipped with and there has been no,  slow charging detected  warning given as when some lower end cords are used.  Highly recommended.  Using other Basics cables over time in the past, for example to connect my phone to the charger in the car when driving with the Waze GPS app on, the cable needed to be unplugged and reinserted at least twice each day for my daily work commute and after a year of use, still work perfectly and without damage or wear.  So the slightly lighter construction seems to still have served it is purpose and function.  This cable though costs about half what the OEM's ask on their web sites for the same length, so I opted to save some money with no apparent lose of function, based on previous experience with Basics cables. Longest charging cord ever, it is great.  The apparent difference is the housings surrounding the end plugs which are a shiny plastic build as opposed to the softer feeling OEMs and they are also are not quite as substantial as the original products bulk-wise.  I recently bought an Android phone and an Android tablet that both use this newer USB C to Male USB A type plug.

The one that came with the phone was broken after a week and this is a must have!.  has heavy duty cables and I love them. nice length for what I needed.

I got an Introcircuit Power Castle charger over 2 years ago to power my phone, but it is still going strong. Just what I needed at an affordable price.

The cable works as advertised.   It allows me to plug my Google Pixel XL 2 into my charger that only supports USB. Does what a cable is supposed to do.

Only one side fits in right and you have to keep trying until you get the right side and since it is still irritating to get the cord in, this requires more than 2 times. These are the way of the future according to my husband.  Also, they do not seem to last long.  With this cord the small end is supposed to fit in the same from either side which would be really nice and it is also supposed to be faster than the average cord.  It did not fit my phone, tablets, notepads or anything I have on hand at the moment but since more and more stuff is coming out to use these, I am glad to have them.  I do wish it was just a little longer though.  I will sure be glad when the day comes that everything uses the same cord so I do not have at least a dozen laying out here.  The cords on my tablets give me a lot of trouble. So far seems like a good quality USB C cable.

This cable was a bit difference because unlike the standard 10-footers, this in knly 9 feet, as advertised.   For me, 9 feet is definitely enough, but if you really need a 10-footer, this particular cable is not for you.   They have been 100% as excellent as the brand names.   So, thank you, !.
